Senet and Sagemcom Partner demonstrated LoRaWAN™ Geolocation at CES 2018

The device sends a signal to three different gateways so as to triangulate a position and offers accuracy up to 100m. LoRaWAN is a great solution for LoRa sensors without GPS as LoRaWAN geolocation is low-power so will not drain batteries quickly.
EnOcean demonstrated self-powered wireless IoT solutions

Toyota announced the introduction of Amazon Alexa in its vehicles

Toyota, is also incorporating IoT in its cars.
The car maker is going to incorporate Amazon Alexa within select Toyota and Lexus models. Toyota models having the Entune 3.0 infotainment system, and Lexus models with the Enform 2.0 system will get Alexa capabilities soon. With the huge connectivity domain, Alexa can allow to connect several third-party smart home products for added ease and comfort to use.

HARMAN and Samsung alliance introduced its new Samsung DRVLINE™ platform for connected car solution. The company introduced their product as a go-to partner for Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) and Mobility as a Service (MaaS) providers in the autonomous driving market. It widely provides automakers with a telematics solution that is compatible with 5G connectivity.
Samsung’s announcement at CES comes after a year of historic firsts for the company. The announcement includes: an $8 billion acquisition of connected technologies company HARMAN and the creation of a joint automotive Strategic Business Unit; the establishment of a $300 million Samsung Automotive Innovation Fund; and a series of investments and partnerships designed to promote collaboration in the automotive sector.
Bosch to enter into smart city market
